Welcome to our blog on buying movies!
Do you still buy movies?
In a world with movies on demand, mail order renting and online movie trading,
do people still buy movies? More to the point, what purpose does buying a movie
serve? The only answer we can come up with is for repeat viewing, and we find that
most movies are not worth a second viewing, while there are a special few that
we watch into the ground... we're looking at you, JFK! Sure, we always hear
the media saying that most men between 20 and 40 spend their leisure time with
DVDs and video games as opposed to watching TV, but can that be true? Sure, we believe
people watch movies rather than TV, as TV is horrible (or great at churning
out crap), but do people really plop out $20 or so bucks for movies as often as
every month? Sure, we know the male community love their home entertainment centers,
but we assume they're watching sporting events with the surround sound turned up to
eleven... But we assumed buying DVDs was going the way of the dodo.

They've got their own crazy system going where you buy and sell things based on a points system. Don't know too much about them, never used the service.
