The Dark Knight Coaster at 6 Flags Great Adventure
Six Flags Great Adventure is pretty good about opening new rides, but we were sad when
we realized that The Dark Knight Coaster had replaced Batman & Robin: The Chiller, and after we rode the aforementioned
coaster, we were down right pissed off.
The Dark Knight Coaster is easily the least thrilling, interesting or fun thrill ride in the park.
It's slow, contains no surprises as the indoor area is well lit (for the most part) and the boasted 180
degree turns are not fun, they're annoying. Really, really annoying. After riding,
you will feel yourself compelled to warn those who are waiting a ridiculous 1 hour plus
(without flash pass) to board this pathetic waste of your time. The best part of the experience is the
pre ride film featuring Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. But seriously, save your time and
energy and go ride Skull Mountain or something.
A note on the video: Now some of the participants in the video might look excited and say they liked the ride, but we don't believe them. How can we? The ride is terrible. The video does have pretty good shots of the ride - it might look like it's going fast, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. If you must go on Dark Night, do it first, so you don't have an comparision. Oh, and for the last 10 miles of your trip to the park, drive 25 miles an hour.
