The Incredible Hulk
3.5 out of 5
This movie wasn't especially incredible, but it didn't move like a rusty gate, and that's more than we can say
for 2003's The Hulk.
Comic book fans will be pleased to see a brief Stan Lee cameo, but essentially, the movie flows with a
seemless Iron Man feel, right down to the identical ending action sequences of Iron Man versus the Iron Monger
and the Incredible Hulk vs the Abomination. Ed Norton brought his game, just like he always does, but he
wasn't exactly taking it the hole. Liv Tyler wasn't exactly phoning it in, but... the movie just didn't
pop the way we thought it would. The performances seemed to lack energy in some cases - excluding William
Hurt, who was getting us tired just watching him. That man has energy! Essentially, we were pleased with
the special effects, but over all, we left the movie feeling... not necessarily wanting more, but maybe just a
tiny bit gyped.
