Its hard to give much of a summary of this movie without giving too much away, so we'll only talk about the first act here: After World War II, a teenage boy has a relationship with an older woman in Germany. OK, that's our summary sentence in the style of TV guide. Kate Winslet really rocks the house in this film, showing herself to be the acting equivalent of Michael Jordon, mastering both ends of the floor as Winslet steals the ball, pops one from the outside in your eye and dunks on your behind! Yeah, she's great in this. David Kross is also very good, who is not, countrary to our first guess, the oldest child from Narnia. Kross shares the role of Michael Berg with Ralph Fiennes, who also does a nice job. Stephen Daldry does a nice job directing and the editing is also well done. This movie deserves awards, and lots of them. Sure, we're a little questionable about the end
highlight for spolier:
because we feel that in a life and death situation, a person will let their pride go. it's just a little hard to believe, but, it does set the rest of the second and third act in motion, which works very well.
end spolier:
This movie is worth your time - check it out!
The trailer is below; watch it if you like, but we encourage you to skip it - we think it gives away too much! The less you know going in, the better. Go for the ride with the main character, you won't regret it.
