The New Jersey Nets stink
What the hell is going on here? The Nets are going defeated so far this season. If you're a Knicks fan and you've lost all of your Knicks 2007 protest passion, we hear ya.... and it's feeling like its too late for the Knicks now. But Nets fans, don't go down without a fight! Protest! Demand a better team! Read more...

Nets keep Vince Carter
The New Jersey Nets shocked us when they didn't trade Vince Carter at the trade deadline. The only reason to keep Carter is because they think they have a legitimate shot at a title - or is it? It might come down to dollars and 'sense' beyond the rest of the contract money owed to Vince Carter.
Sure, the Phoenix Suns didn't trade Shaquille O'Neil, but they're in a much better position to make a run at a title than New Jersey is. Last year at this time, the Nets didn't hesitate when they traded Jason Kidd away to the Mavericks, so maybe they see something in their team's 2009 or 2010 destiny that makes them believe he's worth keeping around. What it is, we're not exactly sure. [February 2009]

The Jason Kidd era (error) is official over
Check out the article here .
The Eastern Conference is so dead. Spoiled Jason Kidd got his way. We do think he made the right move for his career, but that leaves us here TriStaters without a pretend playoff team... oh well. This'll be a pointless NBA finals, but the Western Conference race should be fun. [2008]

Jason Kidd trade not complete
The NY Post is reporting that one of the players in the multi player deal is blocking the trade.
This feels like a win now trade by the Dallas Mavericks. They must think that by adding Jason Kidd to their mix, they can take on the Phoenix Suns, who have recently added the formidable, if aging, Shaquile O'Neal. The Nets, we assume, are thinking that they're going to go into Brooklyn with a new personality and host of young talent and rebuild their image. It's hard to picture the Nets without Kidd - he made them legitimate. But still, we can't blame Kidd for wanting out. The New Jersey Nets always seem to be just a player or so away from getting to the promise land, and now it'll be at least two players away.

Knicks beat Nets: Kidd not in attendance
The Knicks beat the Nets on Dec 5 and Jason Kidd wasn't there as he is reportedly "on strike", as the NYPost details in their article here.
Everyone is covering this story, but about all the Sports outlets have the same thing posted. Apparently, Jason Kidd is not happy with how things are going with the Nets. They are currently 1 game under .500 and things are not looking especially bright for their future. A lot of sources are reporting that Jason Kidd wants a trade.
If the Nets are unhappy with Kidd, we say they trade him to the Knicks; then he'll find out what pain really is.
Stephon Marbury also did not play due to the death of his father.
