Gift card woes
Yahoo.com has an article posted about 9 gift card pitfalls you'll want to avoid.
We know gift cards are an easy, tempting solution and we'd bet you either gave one or received one or had at least one in your household. Besides the reasons in the ConsumerReports.org article posted on Yahoo!, we've got two more reasons to pass this holiday solution up: 1. "What're you, my uncle?" You don't want to get Seinfeld-ed. Money, or in this case, money that can only be used at one specific place, is never a classy gift. 2. It looks like you put zero effort into the gift. Sure, sometimes its practical, but most of the time, it makes you look like a lazy slob. So make some coffee, find a comfy chair and think about it for a few minutes and get 'em something from the heart.
